Believe Out Loud Together will increase the visibility of Reconciling United Methodists in fifty Annual Conferences in the spring of 2011. Believe Out Loud Together strengthens existing teams of Reconciling United Methodists who are working to end discrimination in the United Methodist Church. These teams will plan events, offer display tables, distribute buttons, support inclusive delegates, and sponsor fully inclusive legislation for General Conference 2012.
Believe Out Loud Together is the fourth year of a five year Called to Witness (CTW) campaign which seeks to develop and empower grassroots leaders as well as provide opportunities for new participants to join the movement in meaningful ways. Called to Witness campaigns equip and encourage Reconciling United Methodists as we learn to tell our stories in order to build relationships within and across the theological and ideological spectrum.
The BOL campaign is only part of the Reconciling Movements outreach strategy. RMN also distributes resources, works with local congregations, and equips individuals for denominational leadership.
